AI Campaign Assistant
The AI Assistant helps you create campaigns faster by understanding your needs and generating structured survey data automatically.
#What is the AI Assistant?
The AI Assistant is an intelligent chat interface that helps you create campaigns through natural conversation. Instead of manually filling out forms, you can describe what you want in plain language, and the AI will:
- Generate a campaign title and description
- Create appropriate questions with answer options
- Set the correct question types (single choice, multiple choice, text)
- Suggest an end date based on your description
- Configure privacy settings
#How to Use It
#Desktop
- 1Go to the New Campaign page
- 2Click on "AI" in the campaign header
- 3A chat will open in a modal window in the center of the screen
- 4Describe your campaign in the chat

- 1Go to the New Campaign page
- 2Click on "AI" in the campaign header
- 3A fullscreen chat interface will open

#Example Prompts
Here are some examples of what you can say to the AI:
Simple poll: > "Create a poll about where to have our team dinner, deadline end of month"
Survey with multiple questions: > "I want to survey my team about office snacks and drinks preferences. Make it required and add an Other option"
Private campaign: > "I need a confidential employee feedback survey where only I can see the responses"
Secret ballot: > "Board election with three candidates. Nobody should see the votes until it ends on Friday"
Requesting specific question types: > "Add a text question asking for additional comments"
#Applying Changes
When the AI suggests campaign data, you'll see a "Proposed Changes" panel showing what will be modified:
- Participants: Who can open the campaign (anyone, with password, address list)
- Answers visible to: Who can read the responses
- Title: Campaign name
- Description: Campaign description
- End Date: When the campaign ends
- Questions: Added, modified, or removed questions
#Apply Options
- Apply: Review and apply changes manually
- Auto-apply: Automatically apply changes from all AI responses (toggle this on if you trust the suggestions)
#Tips for Best Results
- 1Be specific: "Survey about office snacks" is good, "Create a poll about what snacks people want in the office with options for fruits, chips, chocolate, and healthy bars" is better
- 2Mention the deadline: "end of January", "next Friday", "in 2 weeks" — the AI understands natural date expressions
- 3Specify privacy: Say who may take part ("by password", "only these wallets") and who may read the answers ("only I see the responses", "only voters see results", "hide results until the end"). Addresses for an address list are entered in the form, not in the chat
- 4Iterate: After the AI generates questions, you can say things like "add one more question about dietary restrictions" or "make the first question optional"
- 5Use your language: The AI responds in the same language you write in (English, Russian, etc.)
#What the AI Can Do
- Generate complete campaign structure from a description
- Add new questions to an existing campaign
- Modify question text or answer options
- Change question types
- Update title, description, and end date
- Set who can participate and who sees the answers
#What the AI Cannot Do
- Access external data or browse the web
- Remember anything beyond the current chat (the chat is kept in your browser until you publish the campaign or click "Clear chat")
- Modify campaigns after they have responses
- Publish campaigns (you still need to click "Publish Campaign")
#Privacy
The AI processes your messages to generate campaign suggestions:
- Your messages and the current form contents are sent through Logbook's server to a third-party AI provider (DeepSeek) and handled under that provider's terms
- Logbook does not store the conversation on its servers; the chat history lives only in your browser
- Don't put secrets into the chat
